Terms of Service
These terms are maintained by Trustoby Designs and apply to services delivered through trustoby.com. Have them reviewed by your legal advisor before publishing.
1. Quotes and scope
Prices shown on this website are starting points. A binding price is provided only in a written quote that lists the agreed scope. Work outside that scope is quoted separately and begins only after you approve it in writing.
2. Payment terms
Standard terms are 50% of the project fee to begin and 50% on completion, before launch. Larger projects may be split into milestones. Invoices are due within 14 days. Ongoing services are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
3. Revisions
Two rounds of design revisions are included with every project. Additional rounds, or changes requested after design approval, are billed at our standard hourly rate, quoted before the work is done.
4. Client responsibilities
You agree to provide content, brand assets, access credentials and feedback in a timely manner. Project timelines assume feedback within three business days. Extended delays may require rescheduling and, after 60 days of inactivity, a reactivation fee.
5. Ownership
On final payment, you own the website design, content and custom code we produce for you, along with your domain and hosting accounts. Third-party components, plugins, fonts and stock assets remain licensed under their own terms. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
6. Guarantee and refunds
If you are not satisfied with your initial design concept, we will revise it or refund your deposit within 14 days of concept delivery. Once development begins, fees for completed work are non-refundable.
7. Support and maintenance
Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support for defects in our work. Ongoing maintenance, hosting and SEO are optional services governed by their own monthly terms.
8. Limitation of liability
We deliver services with professional care, but we do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic volumes or revenue outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
